Features and craftsmanship

The Chicago is made from solid wood and built with a panel-style arched cabinet, giving it the presence many shoppers want in a premium game table. Its floor-to-slate leg design contributes to a grounded, substantial appearance that feels right at home in a permanent entertainment space. The Accu-Fast Cushions are an important play feature, supporting consistent rebound and a more satisfying game experience over time.

Olhausen hand-crafts its tables in a 250,000 sq. ft. manufacturing facility in Portland, Tennessee, and the Chicago carries the brand’s Lifetime Warranty. Those details matter for buyers who want a table that is meant to be enjoyed for years, not just admired on arrival. The result is a table that balances visual presence, dependable play, and the kind of construction that suits a serious home billiards setup.

For households that entertain often, the Chicago’s combination of sturdy build and traditional profile makes it easy to integrate into a room that already serves multiple purposes. It has the presence to stand alone as a statement piece, yet it remains versatile enough to work with casual family use, competitive games with friends, or a more curated recreation area. That balance is one reason it appeals to buyers who want a pool table that feels both practical and refined.

Sizes, materials, and finish options

The Chicago is available in 7 ft, 8 ft, 8 1/2 ft, and 9 ft sizes, giving shoppers room to match the table to the layout and scale of the room. Material options include maple, oak, cherry, and walnut, and the table is available in all Olhausen finishes. That flexibility helps buyers coordinate the table with cabinetry, flooring, trim, and the rest of the room’s furnishings.

The main image is shown in a matte black lacquer finish on maple, which highlights the table’s strong lines and arched cabinet profile. This kind of finish can be especially appealing in rooms where the table needs to complement a contemporary look without losing its classic billiards character. For anyone in Northern Michigan comparing game tables for a home that needs style as well as function, those finish choices make the Chicago easier to tailor to the space.

Outside table dimensions vary by size and rail configuration, so room planning remains an important part of selecting the right model. A carefully chosen size helps preserve comfortable cueing space and keeps the table proportional to the room. Because the Chicago offers multiple size options, it can suit a wider range of layouts than a one-size-only table, which is useful for buyers planning a dedicated rec room as well as those working within a more flexible entertainment area.
