Finnleo Traditional Outdoor Saunas Metro Series

The Finnleo Traditional Outdoor Saunas Metro Series brings classic backyard sauna comfort into a clean, thoughtfully built outdoor package. Designed for homeowners who want a dedicated place to unwind, it suits relaxed evenings at home, gatherings with family and friends, and wellness-focused spaces across Traverse City and nearby communities such as Grayling, Reed City, and Mio. Its appeal is straightforward: a traditional sauna experience with the kind of construction details that make outdoor placement feel intentional, polished, and ready for everyday use.

Phillips Lifestyles pairs this sauna offering with supportive services that help simplify ownership, including expert installation and maintenance, free in-home consultations, and spa maintenance. For buyers planning a sauna addition alongside broader outdoor living goals, that combination of product selection and service support can make the process feel more manageable. A local note of geography: outdoor wellness buyers in northern Michigan often look for durable features that fit seasonal living, whether the setting is near town or closer to places like Hartwick Pines State Park.

Key features

The Metro Series is built around easy assembly and traditional sauna comfort. Its wall and roof panels use 4 1/4-inch insulated construction, helping create a substantial outdoor structure that is designed to perform as a dedicated backyard retreat. The interior comes standard in tongue-and-groove Nordic White Spruce, used in both the sauna and the changing room where included, giving the space a classic natural wood look and feel.

Three of the four Metro models include spacious changing rooms, which adds welcome flexibility. That extra space can make the sauna feel more like a backyard amenity than a simple enclosure, especially for families who want a practical spot to transition in and out of the sauna. The design also works well near a pool, patio, or spa area, making it a natural fit for outdoor entertaining.

Construction and materials

Finnleo designed the Metro Series to be straightforward to assemble while still feeling substantial once installed. The insulated panel construction is a notable part of that approach, especially for a product meant to live outdoors. Because the exterior is standard Nordic White Spruce tongue-and-groove and can be painted or stained, buyers have a path to customize the finish to suit their backyard setting. An optional maintenance-free siding is also available for those who prefer a lower-upkeep exterior choice.

That combination of a classic wood interior and flexible exterior options makes the Metro Series appealing to homeowners who want a sauna that looks at home beside a patio, pool, or lakeside gathering space. The changing-room configuration on select models adds another layer of usability, particularly when the sauna is being used as part of a larger outdoor living area.

Why it works for outdoor living

This sauna is especially well matched to buyers who want a traditional wellness feature without giving up backyard function. The Metro Series is positioned as an outdoor sauna that ties in neatly with entertainment spaces, and its changing-room-equipped models can also serve as a pool-house style amenity. For households in and around Traverse City, that means a single structure can support relaxation, changing space, and a more finished outdoor experience.

It also suits people who value a simple, familiar sauna format. The design is traditional rather than trendy, which is often a plus for shoppers who want the heat, wood, and quiet retreat of a classic sauna build. Whether the property is in the city or in nearby communities like Grayling, Reed City, and Mio, the Metro Series offers a grounded, practical approach to outdoor wellness.

If you enjoy time outdoors around northern Michigan, it is easy to picture this sauna fitting into a property lifestyle that also values places such as White Pine Trail State Park. The Metro Series keeps the focus on calm, heat, and wood-forward simplicity rather than unnecessary complexity. That is a strong match for buyers who want a traditional sauna to complement an existing backyard layout instead of dominating it.

Another practical advantage is how the series balances comfort and finish flexibility. The standard exterior can be painted or stained, which gives owners room to match the sauna to surrounding structures, decks, or landscaping. For those who prefer a more streamlined maintenance routine, the optional maintenance-free siding is a useful alternative. Those details matter when a sauna is expected to be part of regular use, not just an occasional backyard feature.
