Retreat MS™ Hot Tub by Nordic Hot Tubs

The Retreat MS™ is a compact hot tub designed to turn a smaller backyard footprint into a comfortable, high-functioning soak space. With room for up to five adults, two deep therapy bucket seats, and a bench seat, it gives buyers a flexible layout for quiet recovery, family time, or easy entertaining. That combination makes it a practical fit for households across Traverse City and surrounding communities such as Kalkaska, Harrison, and St. Helen who want a therapy-focused spa without committing to a larger footprint.

At Phillips Lifestyles, the Retreat MS™ is supported by a dealership that pairs premium spa selection with installation, maintenance, and repair services. That matters for buyers who want more than a box on a pad: the right hot tub should feel simple to plan, straightforward to care for, and comfortable to use year after year. If you’re comparing compact hot tubs with flexible power options, this model offers a polished mix of comfort, performance, and ownership support.

Features and specifications

The Retreat MS™ measures 80" x 70" x 34" and has a dry weight of 395 pounds with an operating capacity of 250 gallons. Its 28 jets are arranged to deliver a full-body soak with targeted pressure, including 5 Nordic Star directional whirlpool jets, 15 Nordic Star dual rotational jets, and 11 ozone jets. An ozonator is listed as optional, giving buyers another way to tailor the water care setup. The spa also offers 110V/220V convertible operation, 20A/40A amperage, and a 4-button topside control pad with LED display for simple day-to-day use.

Performance-focused details continue with a 2hp continuous-duty pump and a heater rated at 1kW on 110V or 4kW on 220V. Standard foam insulation helps retain heat, while the optional Nordic Wrap™ upgrade adds additional thermal protection. That added efficiency is useful for buyers who plan to enjoy the spa regularly through changing seasons. Standard side wall LED lighting improves visibility and mood, and the optional Northern Lights Package™ adds more lighting touches for a more dramatic nighttime setting.

Color options are also practical for matching a patio or backyard setting. Shell finishes include Eclipse, Drift, Coastal, and Shadow, while cabinet choices include Charcoal, Mahogany, Black, and Natural Cedar. For shoppers who care about a spa’s appearance as much as its massage feel, those choices help the Retreat MS™ blend into a range of outdoor spaces.

Comfort, therapy, and seating

The Retreat MS™ stands out for its seating variety. The two varied-depth captain’s chairs offer a more upright, targeted soaking position, while the large barrier-free bench seat creates a more open place to stretch out or share the spa more casually. That layout gives the model broad appeal for couples and small households, but it also works well when friends drop by and the spa needs to serve more than one style of use in the same evening.

The Dual Therapy System (DTS™) combines high-volume whirlpool flow with direct-pressure jets to create a massage experience that feels both energizing and restorative. Rather than focusing only on one type of water action, the spa is designed to deliver broad circulation and concentrated pressure where it matters most. The Nordic Star™ stainless steel jets are built to help customize that experience across different seats and personal preferences.

Optional features expand the comfort profile even further. The Nordic Clean™ or Nordic Pure™ ozone option supports water sanitation by helping destroy bacteria, viruses, and biodegradable materials, while the Bluetooth stereo upgrade adds another layer of enjoyment for buyers who like to relax with music. The lighting package can also make evening soaks feel more polished and inviting. For local buyers who spend time outdoors near Backus Creek State Game Area or Wilson State Park, bringing that relaxed feeling back home in a well-appointed spa can be especially appealing.

Because the Retreat MS™ is a compact hot tub rather than an oversized swim spa or large social spa, it is especially well suited to buyers who want therapy, comfort, and efficient use of space in the same unit. It gives you the benefits of a premium soak without asking for as much room as a bigger backyard installation.

Planning, delivery, and ownership support

Phillips Lifestyles supports the ownership experience with services that help before and after installation. Its service offerings include free in-home consultations, expert installation and maintenance services, hot tub repairs, and a spa maintenance program. The consultation process can help with measuring, placement, and product selection, which is especially valuable when a spa has multiple power and upgrade options that need to be matched to the site.

That support is a strong fit for buyers across Traverse City and nearby Kalkaska, Harrison, and St. Helen who want a local team to help keep the process organized. Phillips Lifestyles also invites shoppers to request information and pricing through its dedicated inquiry form, making it easy to move from research to a more specific quote conversation. The dealership’s long-standing presence in Northern Michigan adds reassurance for customers looking for a knowledgeable source for both product selection and ongoing care.

For shoppers comparing compact hot tubs, the Retreat MS™ offers a strong balance of seating flexibility, therapy features, and practical efficiency. The combination of a focused jet system, convertible power, and support from Phillips Lifestyles makes it a compelling option for buyers who want a refined backyard soak with dependable service behind it.
